According to UNICEF, “Every year, an estimated 124,000 children under the age of 5 die because of diarrhea, mainly due to unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene. Lack of adequate water and sanitation are also major causes of other diseases, including respiratory infection and under-nutrition”.

From WaterAid Nigeria, an International Non-governmental organization working towards the provision of portable clean water in every home, “Nigeria is the most significant contributor to Sub-Saharan Africa’s ranking as the lowest in the world for access to improved drinking water".

According to OFAM, "In Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa with an estimated population of 170 million people, access to safe water and sanitation is a major challenge with about 39% (63 million people) of the population lacking access to safe or clean water sources while nearly 112 million people are without access to improved sanitation despite the progress made by the MDG project".

FIN wants to change the narratives in Africa. We have an assembly of international partners willing to fund water programme in Africa.

Through solar powered bore holes which passes through a standard purification process, the water needs of Africa will be in the past.
